Your skin health is important, so we urge anyone with a concern to elevate it to a board-certified dermatologist if they have any concern.
Here are a few reasons you may want to consult a professional:
- A new or changing mole you want checked
- A rash that will not improve
- Acne flare-ups or treatment follow-ups
- Eczema or psoriasis questions
- Bites, bumps, or sun damage concerns
Go to urgent care for fever, rapidly spreading rash, severe pain, or signs of infection.
Most cases receive a timely review. Timing varies by case and state rules.
SkinCheck Telehealth can review most non-urgent skin health that can be photographed. Common reasons people start a visit include:
- Moles and dark spots you want checked for risk or change
- Rashes (itchy, red, bumpy, contact dermatitis, heat rash)
- Acne breakouts and treatment follow-ups
- Eczema and psoriasis flares
- Rosacea or facial redness
- Bites, stings, bumps, cysts, ingrown hairs, skin tags, warts
- Folliculitis and minor skin infections around hair follicles
- Sunburn and sun-damage concerns
- Scalp issues like dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis
- Nail changes (discoloration, thickening, ridges)
- Medication or care questions between in-person visits
Only a biopsy can diagnose skin cancer. We help you assess risk, monitor changes, and understand when to see a doctor in person.
Start in person or urgent care instead if you have any emergency symptoms such as rapidly spreading rash with fever, severe pain, shortness of breath, swelling of lips or tongue, large or deep wounds, or signs of serious infection (extreme warmth, pus, red streaks). If you’re unsure, start a visit and we’ll guide you to the right next step.
SkinCheck Telehealth is available now to residents of the United States. Outside the U.S., you can access self-exam education and join the waitlist.
